Carly Joined Angelini, Ori + Abate as a Partner in November 2018 after being admitted to the Bar. She previously worked for the firm as a law clerk during law school.
Carly focuses her practice on domestic relations and child custody disputes. She understands that emotions can run high in family matters, which is why she works to give each client individualized attention. Carly strives to tailor her representation to each family’s needs.
Carly graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law cum laude in 2018. Carly received CALI Awards for earning the highest grade in several law school courses, including Legal Writing II, Legislation: Process & Interpretation, and Pretrial Litigation. She was also a DuPage Association of Women Lawyers Helen C. Kinney Scholarship recipient. While in law school, Carly was a member of the Society of Women in Law, the Child and Family Law Society, and served as a mentor to 1L students through the Student Mentor Program. Additionally, she worked as a Teaching Assistant for a Contracts class during her third year. Throughout law school, Carly clerked for an established Workers Compensation law firm, the Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office in the Appeals division, and a prominent family law firm.
Carly received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors as a James Scholar from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2015. She studied Agricultural and Consumer Economics with a focus in Public Policy & Law. While at the University of Illinois, she researched Title IX and sexual assault on college campuses with Andrea H. Beller, Ph.D. and presented her research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium. Carly also studied abroad at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium.
